PART TIME POSITION: 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. and student half days 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An associates (or higher) degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with school age children required

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. The Campus Leader will direct, organize and manage the daily operations of Bushland after-school programlearning opportunities
  2. Create and reinforce an inviting and safe expanded learning environment for students including, but not limited to, age-appropriate enrichment, creative arts, and recreation activities
  3. Work with groups of children with diverse abilities and needs and ensure safety and well-being of students at the assigned campus
  4. Communicate clearly with parents about their children and the program
  5. Communicate and work collaboratively with the campus administration and staff to identify community and student needs, provide consistency with campus climate and procedures, and ensure the proper use of building materials and equipment
  6. Maintain efficient and accurate student records including attendance, medical, and discipline records with extreme discretion, in a timely manner, and in compliance with all confidentiality requirements
  7. Maintain a professional and confidential relationship with regard to student, parents, and other staff
  8. Provide strong leadership to multiple staff; provide ongoing targeted coaching and training on prescribed areas
  9. Review daily attendance and implement steps to verify absences and ensure all children are accounted for on a constant/daily basis
  10. Maintain a highly functional site at assigned campus in compliance with district, health, nutritional and program standards, policies and procedures
  11. Complete training in emergency preparedness plan including certification in CPR/First Aid
  12. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  13. Be able to walk and stand for sustained periods of time
  14. Be able to change from sitting on the floor to standing positions often
  15. Demonstrate knowledge of child development theories and practices related to the physical, intellectual and social development of school age students
  16. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and written
  17. Ability to handle stressful situations, multi-task and meet deadlines
  18. Other duties as assigned
